The film is examining a man through the figures he has scarved and painted on the rock. Cave paintings are mirrors through which ancient people are watching us as we are actually watching them. Do we understand each other? Do we see ourselves in the Stone Age paintings? The film is a journey into the past and at the same time a portrait of a man, right here and right now.
